Bruce contacted me last weekend. I replied immediately with my usual point
that names are not "ownable" and so he is free to use the name he has
picked.
He did not know about Lovecraft, so I pointed out to him the origins of
"Necronomicon," which I had also mentioned in an early part of the
"Cyphernomicon."
My main concern--wish, actually--will be having his publishers contact me
about _my_ use of "Cyphernomicon" and hence "causing confusion" with
_their_ "Cryptonomicon."
Meaning no disrespect to Bruce, I am looking forward to telling the legal
vermin to fuck off. Don't tip them off, as I am hoping for something like
this.
An injunction against me would be delicious.
