Which proves what Ian? I get the Russian evening news, Pravda, on my local
cable system here in Austin, Tx. It's one of the several public service
channels. I also get DW as well as a French one. We've got three Spanish
stations and they have news from all over Ctl. and S. America. At one time
they included Iranian television but I guess people got tired of all the
missile shots and soldiers marching with the battle hymn soundtracks. Perhaps
you should complain to your local cable system if you don't get any foreign
broadcasts.
I also have access to C, K, and DSS. While the DSS doesn't have much foreign
there are plenty of non-Americanski broadcasts on the C & K. You do have to
look for them though (hint: they're not in the tables).

Da, moi govaryu i panimayu pa russki minoga; ni ploha.

No, it's just that you live in the sticks or are addicted to the Weather
Channel or The WB.
