I got some stuff from CJ recently, too. I understand that he's looking for
a copy of a work entitled "Hot and Cool" by Marshall McLuhan - I wasn't
able to find a book by that title, although those ideas were central to a
lot of his writing. Is that title familiar to other cpunks? If someone's
got a copy of it (I can't seem to find it new or used), you could send it
to CJ (address on JYA's site), or send it to me and I'll send it so you
won't have to add your name to the list of bad people having contact with
dangerous types like CJ.

This is, in my opinion, one of the creepiest and least just things about
the federal criminal trial system - a defendant convicted of crime A can
be punished for crimes B-Z, as "enhancements" to the punishment for A,
without benefit of a trial for the factual allegations underlying the
additional charges. There's a minimal opportunity to challenge the
evidence, but it's certainly not a real trial. Looks like that's what
they're trying to set CJ up for, and/or additional criminal trials in case
he manages to win this first one (which would be an achievement in
itself).
