INTERIM PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:
Identify how to develop and maintain a "legend" (undercover identity) in the online world.
Recognize the importance of understanding the "culture" of criminal organizations and individuals maintaining an online presence
in order to carry out effective undercover or sting operation (validation in the hacker community).
Identify strategies and techniques for establishing an undercover account with an online provider (ISP).
Identify use of remailers and "anonymizers" to deal with informants and whistle blowers.
Identify how to deploy online security countermeasures to protect identity and information assets.
Identify case studies of major online undercover investigations.
Identify methodologies and techniques for online undercover sourcing and use of informants.
Identify "Social engineering" techniques as an investigative technique.
