All it takes is a traceroute. Not that hard to do, even on a Mac. :-).
I've even gotten busted like this myself, recently, when I bcc'd a DCSB
announcement to, of all places, the com-priv list. Go figure. Some leftist
greybeard guarding what's left of the internet begging-bowl, I guess. :-).
Scared the bejesus out of my ISP, though, because someone sent a UCE
complaint to BNN, my ISP's upstream provider, who in turn sent them this
very formal complaint message.
