In an interview on ABC's This Week with Sam Donaldson and Cokie Roberts,
Energy Secretary Bill Richardson did not elaborate on email being used
to leak confidential information (in context to nuclear weapons
information to China). He did say steps were being taken on the matter.

Emailing of nuclear secrets? What new high yield privacy invasions will
mutate out of these revelations? Are the "secrets" still out there on
mail servers and home pc's awaiting government confiscation, or better
yet, a bid from other interested parties? What is the extent and
possibility of internet espionage? Secretary Richardson did not
comment, but his and the reporter's brevity in this matter was
revealing.

A report exploring these matters, among other China concerns is due out
from the House Select Committee on China. Selections offered to the
american public will be thoroughly scrubbed, more culturally pleasing
produce will be available in the alleys of Chinatown. Hints of an
electronic Great Wall are being floated. What we have in the US is
precious and national security demands barbaric hoards be walled out, or
in as the case may be.
