Wait - what am I doing agreeing with Chatski Carl on anything? :-)
There are _always_ people pinging the Pentagon, whether they're
teenage script kiddies or foreign spies, and the military
likes to pretend that this is 250000 break-in attempts per year.
It's interesting timing to compare this with the Marine invasion training
in Emeryville and Monterey California that's been in the press,
the recent big stories of three-year-ago Chinese Nuclear Spies at Los Alamos,
and Cong.Anna Eshoo's comments that the right wing Republicans
are going to start lots of PR hype about China after the impeachment flap
settles down a bit, because it's the only source of Commies or other
threats big enough to justify propping up the military-industrial complex.
