Cpunks:
I encourage all who are interested in the fate of Carl Johnson,
and especially those who may soon be participants in that
drama, to get to know Toto in his own write.
This is the power of the Internet that we were all so excited
about back at the beginning of this decade: you don't have to
rely on the Official Version Of Events and try to infer the
truth behind the smokescreen -- you can also read original
sources in order to reach further towards the truth.
Two of my favorite Toto Satire Circus articles are the
"Encrypted Death Threat", and the story of being visited by the
Secret Service. Unfortunately I can't find URLs for those two
right now, and I would appreciate it if someone would post them
for me.
Some other good, and very important, ones are here on JYA.com:
The "Dead Lucky" bot joke.

I remember reading this one, shaking my head and thinking how
ill-advised, tasteless, and hilarious it was.
Toto predicts his arrest.

Reading this, and the "Encrypted Death Threat", is for me a
strange and heart-wrenching experience. Whatever else may be
said about Toto, he _did_ accurately predict what was coming,
several times and in surprising detail, and he chose to
continue living his life and writing his pamphlets instead of
giving into fear and silencing himself, as so many others
would.
CJ's sister Alia on the option of plea bargaining.

And finally, a photograph of Carl Johnson in happier (?) times.
This may be the only image I will ever have of the man, and if
so it will serve. I will envision him like this:
