Points:

.   The U.S. vs Them doesn't exactly fit

.   The Govmt vs Us  doesn't either, since they can't trust "their own" to stay pure & loyal

.   Us vs The Govmt isn't useful either, since many of those who cooperate with it and promote its
growth are "civilians"  among us

Therefore the "Us vs Them" model isn't the most useful way to establish boundary lines, as there are
so many exceptions.     It must be 'this kind of person' vs 'that kind of person'.   As in, The
Brilliant & Moral  vs The Toadies.  Or something like that.
