Thanks, Dave, for letting us know about being honored
with a subpoena. Any info about it you'd like to share,
it'd be welcome, but your call.
We heard last night that CJ has had a federal defender
recently appointed, but so far knows squat about the case.
Nothing's yet been transferred to him from the AZ
lawyer -- some paperwork is needed for that to happen.
The trial is tentatively scheduled for some time in March
but that is highly variable. So the harassment continues:
arrest in August, trial until March, seven months of being
fucked with to soften resistance, to penalize by obfuscation
and procedure without trial or conviction.
Seems CJ's been in The Hole (TM) for much of the time,
and, so the story goes, for unknown reasons, but maybe
to justify withholding medication on the grounds that he's
disruptive, not in need of treatment.
The new defender, when told of CJ's being held incommunicado
and shackled in a hospital in Tucson, not able to even call his
lawyer, expressed incredulity, and said, "but that's impossible,
they can't do that, it's forbidden."
One report is that CJ was threatened by a bull with
punishment he wouldn't recover from, of the kind CJ
had no way to joke about, the intent being to goad
him into death by bullfight.
America, land of freedom, constitutionally protected.
This is, for the record, privileged information, the last sentence
for sure.
