Well, the Federales finally found me. :-)
Last night, about 1730, a friendly representative of said Federales served
me a subpoena requesting various documentation I may have regarding Carl
Johnson, with a list of `AKA's the size of Rhode Island. I'm planning to
call and see if my testimony before the grand jury can be done without me
missing a week of class, but OTOH I've never been to the American
northwest.
To anyone who's ever ridden the Government train under subpoena: Do you
get any free time or liberty whilst visiting? (i.e. in between when I give
my testimony and when I hop on a plane back home, will I have time for
sightseeing?)
To Jeff Gordon, since he's gotta be monitoring: I'll try to get in touch
with you today or (probably) Monday. There was a hideous storm all
throughout the Midwest last night, the end result of which was an inch of
water throughout my apartment. You were inadvertently shifted down a
couple notches on the queue of `important things to do.' Nothing personal.
...dave
P.S. How good is the quality on those inkjet printer sheets that print
into iron-on T-shirt transfers? I want to scan my subpoena and wear it
around. ;-)
