You can agree all you want with the crap ass conditions in Singapore.
I don't think anyone here is disputing the fact that the government
in Singapore is a fascist regime enslaving their people. What people
don't want to hear is how that somehow means that Americans
shouldn't be unhappy with fascist practices by our government, since
they don't compare to the atrocities in Singapore.
Our country was built on the idea that the people should be free to
pursue whatever they want, and I could give a rat's ass what that means
to Singapore. You don't like what's happening there, adopt a new
form of government, revolt against the fucking fascists, get a gun and
take out government officials, but don't fucking criticize the Americans
on this list for trying to keep our shit together, just because you don't
have any shit to keep together.
That's like the alter-argument to the statement "America, love it or leave
it." That fucking pisses me off. How about "America, love it or change
it." Has a better ring to it, in my opinion. I guarantee you that if I
lived in a country like Singapore, I'd either leave, or start/join a
revolution. How can you in good conscience sit on this list and bitch
about the place without doing so yourself?
