Sad, isn't it?

And I used to really rate Syncsort as a company, Oh, maybe 12 or 15 years
ago. (*) And now they are spamming. (**) It's like when you are walking
along the street and you see someone you used to know begging, or lying on a
doorstep with a half-empty bottle of cheap booze beside them, or stumbling
throught he rain-drenched streets, stopping strangers and ranting emptily at
them...

Folks, if the Internet can do this to one of the half-dozen or so most
respected system software companies in the business, THIS IS WHAT THE
INTERNET CAN DO TO YOUR CHILDREN! Can you *tell* who little Johnny is
emailing from school? Do you *know* who your sweet little Susan is arranging
to meet at the public library after church on Sunday? Have you *seen* what
dear little Fido (he's never behaved like this before, I don't know what's
got into him, it must be the colour of your shoes...) is doing on the
Internet when you think he is safe in his kennel?

Stop it now, before it is too late! Lobby your political representatives!
Bring this spreading weed under control before it gets out of hand! Get
taken over by Computer Associates! If we act now we can make the world
safe for our families and pets!

You *know* it makes sense.

(*) Not up to the standard of Selcopy (what is?) but anything was an
improvement over IEBGENER

(**) And not only spamming but spamming the reply address to a different
approach to the same list

(All me and not my bosses - the usual disclaimer)
