is anyone aware of the existence of an anonymous token-based mailsystem?
maybe using a different name, I'll try to explain. it's basically the
reverse of an anonymous remailer.

imagine a web-site or other net-accessible service that contains
information about people (i.e. you can register yourself there),
including their e-mail address.
you can visit the site and search for people on criteria like name,
nickname, country, occupation etc. of course everyone is free to submit
all, some or none (well, at least one name, I guess) of these info.
however, the e-mail is never displayed. instead, if you wish to contact
that person, you click a button and the server generates a bogus e-mail
address that works as a redirect to that person FOR A LIMITED TIME. so,
say you look me up and click "contact", then you'll get a page that
says: "send a mail to 'kasf86q234o8f@tokensystem.com' during the next 30
minutes and it'll be relayed to Tom Vogt". it's then my decision whether
or not and how (anonymous or not) I reply to your mail.

anyone aware of an existing system of that kind? any other comments? am
I missing something or is this really a nice idea?
