Crime fears after army gear stolen

A $1 million haul of sensitive army equipment could end up in the hands
of criminals, the Opposition warned yesterday.

Equipment including night vision goggles, vehicles and a virtual reality
simulator were stolen from the Parachute Training School at Nowra, in
NSW, last week........
the theft comes just two months after it was revealed that hundreds of
high-powered assault rifle and rocket lanuchers had been stolen from
army bases in NSW.
