Not surprisingly, Jim's post makes little sense. I think this is why I
killfiled him when I was subscribed to cypherpunks from my pathfinder.com
account.
I'll pass along this note posted to cyberia over the summer that I just
came across reposted elsewhere. Perhaps it'll clear things up.

Left wing, right wing or centre of the road, copyright infringement is
copyright infringement. If the posters are too lazy, too ignorant, too
libertarian or too anarchist to post either a summary of the article or
just a graf or two from it and the URL, and the owners are too lazy or
ignorant than to enforce such a rule, then they deserve everything they
get. Copyright is the only protection we who write for a living have for
our income. I don't pick their pockets, they have no right to pick mine.
