RISKS-16.11: D-DAY is Disk-Day at CSL? (RISKS OF RISKS!) (PGN)

Subject: RISKS-16.11: D-DAY is Disk-Day at CSL?
RISKS-16.11 was apparently truncated in most of the main mailings that were
sent out late on 3 June. (I have to keep the list in 12 sublists, and each
one may have been handled somewhat differently. I do not know whether the
problem caused truncation consistently from one sublist to another. We also
experienced a disk overflow problem, and I could not FTP the archive copy to
CRVAX until today.) The truncation problem appears to affect only longer
messages, so I'm keeping this one short in hopes of staving off the large
number of messages I have received noting the truncation.
I WILL REPOST RISKS-16.11 as soon as the problem is identified (not yet) and
fixed.
In the meanwhile, RISKS-16.11 is intact on the CRVAX and csl.sri.com www
server.
I will hold off on sending RISKS-16.12 until the situation improves.
This message will not appear in the issue-summary listing in RISKS-16.00.
PGN
ARCHIVES: "ftp crvax.sri.com<CR>login anonymous<CR>YourName<CR> cd risks:<CR>
Issue j of volume 16 is in that directory: "get risks-16.j<CR>". For issues
of earlier volumes, "get [.i]risks-i.j<CR>" (where i=1 to 15, j always TWO
digits) for Vol i Issue j. Vol i summaries in j=00, in both main directory
and [.i] subdirectory; "dir" (or "dir [.i]") lists (sub)directory; "bye<CR>"
logs out. CRVAX.SRI.COM = [128.18.30.65]; <CR>=CarriageReturn; FTPs may
differ; UNIX prompts for username, password.
bitftp@pucc.Princeton.EDU and WAIS could be alternative repositories,
if anyone has already updated the complete version of RISKS-16.11 from
the CRVAX archive site.
