there.

discussion that took place. They are not complete. If you have

1. symlink for passwd.real and license.dat -- being done.
2. modification to the login to make telnet behavior the same -- being done.
3. quickstations -- if necessary, we can put "early" quickstations in
the dev cell (early) testing release. this would be useful to verify
the quickstation work as early as possible.
4. SGI - information - 6.5 is the "spanning" release that should work on all
our hardware; beta is targeted for July 1; FCS October 1, 1997.
5. Patch schedule 8.0K
soon - 2/18 or 2/19 - expect dev cell release (early test) for solaris
general release solaris about 2 weeks later. SGI spring break.
6. utmp ghosts - there is a report that utmpd may have a memory leak that
is aggravated under certain conditions. for now, we should hold off, but
keep watching.
7. Xserver on sparc4 is 20 meg larger than on sparc5 -- bill will open
a bug report with sun.
8. forwarding tickets - the question is whether we should get
forwardable tickets or non-forwardable tickets by default with K5.
After discussion, we agreed to take action in the following three areas:
1. talk to jis, ted, etc. about the issue - ghudson
2. documentation - dryfoo? kcunning?
3. stock answers - support/Athena branch - othomas
This is an issue for 8.1, the summer release.
