Today Naomi showed up in Mike Barker's office saying, "None of the SGI's
work". Jeff and Ron gave Mike a lot of noise about Ron's SGI not
working.
Mike couldn't find anyone to answer questions about the release that
went out last night. (Greg Hudson was findable via Zephyr, but was not
sure about the source of the problem.)
Mike and I feel this means that we need to come up with some way to
ensure there is coverage the day after any kind of software update so
that snags are quickly sorted out.
Can we make it a "Rule of Thumb" that for any future update or release
that there is a designated contact person who will be here in E40 the
morning after who can help sort out snags? If we decide to do this, how
should we do it?
Mike and I thought that a little careful scheduling of releases and
explicit buy off of a particular person whose name would be listed in
the update announcement would probably cover all bases.
(Why didn't we do this sooner? Don't ask.)
