Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Mime-Version: 1.0 (Apple Message framework v1082) From: Jonathan Reed <jdreed@MIT.EDU> In-Reply-To: <CA523AD1-4842-42CD-97B9-51AF4E48B8D9@mit.edu> Date: Fri, 11 Mar 2011 16:28:43 -0500 Message-Id: <628B0F3B-89A3-493E-9612-BB76A4AAEC3F@mit.edu> To: "release-team@mit.edu Team" <release-team@mit.edu> Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit Attending: rbasch, lizdenys, jogomes, alexp, jdreed, geofft, aurora, othomas, jweiss Next release team will be OFF-CYCLE, April 1 (Joyce: Now that it's at 2pm, does it still conflict with your first-Friday-of-the-month DITR meeting?) > Agenda: > > 1) Do we still want Kerberized CUPS config in the real world? Tabled until June. > 2) Punting help-config Agreement is made to punt it. We will punt it from the metapackage, and stop buildling new versions. Discussion ensues about when/whether to remove it from the archive, and no consensus is reached. E-mail Garry to punt nickname. > 3) Amendment to workflow policy to fast-track certain changes - Documentation changes (man page edits or additions) can go straight to -development. - If a change has previously been ACKd (or the SVN TTL expired), but a small typo is found (e.g. inverted logic, typo'd command, etc), the error may be fixed and it may be re-uploaded to -development without the 3 day waiting period. Approved. SIPB should figure out if it has a usable machine in the alpha-linux cluster and identify it as such, and people should be encouraged to use it and test things. Periodic reminder e-mails will be sent to release-team asking for explicit testing of certain changes if things linger in -development for too long. > 4) The cluster machines need labels telling people the hostname and who to contact jdreed will print labels and give them to hotline. > 5) Other business Can we kill Athena finger with fire? There is general approval of this idea, and jdreed will contact zacheiss to ask about stripping Nickname from GECOS. > 6) Trac review and assigning bounded time to certain tickets. {lizdenys, geofft} will look at #243 (openafs dkms) and come up with a concrete plan by next release-team (April 1). geofft will look at #834 (upgrade-schroots doesn't work)
