I heard other people report variants of these as well as running into them
myself, but I ha dto rwork around the issue and run to where I wwas
supposed to be using my printouts and so didn't get to debug.
1. quickstation-11-2's OpenOffice.org print dialog lists for me asmall
handful of duplex queues, mostly dorms. I heard a report of someone
running into this on three clusters but don't know which clusters or
machines. This is new as of todayish.
2. From a Maverick -workstation box, lp -h printers -d [an LPRng printer]
file.pdf gives me an unsupported application/pdf error. Jon ran into this
with application/postscript (dunno the command line, but probably a more
sane one). I also heard someone run into this last night with text/plain
-- didn't get the details, but probably lpr -Pdagger from assassin, if I
had to guess.
I'm heading out of town for the evening in an hour, so someone on campus
should take a look and try to reproduce / debug these.
thx,
