Hi Adam, 

At the moment, we plan to support LTS releases for at least 2.5 years (that is, an additional 6 months after the next LTS comes out).  Canonical's commitment to support for LTS releases in a Desktop environment is 3 years, so we will likely begin retiring LTS releases around that time frame.  However, we will always send mail to release-announce and debathena-announce before retiring support for a distribution.
