Hi, Brian.
The Solaris 8.0I patch release should be propagated to the Athena cell
tonight. I'm not sure if you've been briefed, but the prevailing
theory is that I should be sending you instructions on how to do
propagations from the dev cell to the athena cell so that Craig
doesn't need to be in the loop. Here are instructions on how to do
the propagation:
attach -n source
cd /afs/.athena.mit.edu/system/sun4m_54/srvd.80
rm .deleted/*
mv usr/athena/bin/emacs .deleted/emacs
synctree -s /afs/dev.mit.edu/system/sun4m_54/srvd.80 -d . \
-a /source/support/rconf/rconf.dev-to-athena
and then release the volume some time.
If you have any questions and I'm not in my office, I'll be in the
basement for a while looking at ringworld
