> 1) Karmic postponed -> Lucid deploy in Jan

We are targeting 2nd week of June for a deployment, between Commencement and Summer Programs

When are we going 64-bit? In June, ideally, if the HPs are gone.
We need 64-bit testing. ACTION ITEM: Please test 64-bit Jaunty cluster, if you can.

How much 32-bit compatibility libraries will we deploy? Ubuntu does Clever(tm) things with downloading the 32-bit libraries during the build process, so, we're not quite sure. Most things should "just work". We'll need to test 3partysw.

Do we want a 32-bit chroot? No, we really really don't.

> 2) Brief overview of new -metrics data

Out of 781 login sessions yesterday, only 99 ran zwgc, and 89 ran Firefox, which seems... unlikely. Evan will investigate when we actually send the metrics to syslog and whether we're losing on anything. Jon will investigate whether the aggregator script has bugs.

> 3) Double-sided printing cutover

We're aiming for June for this.

We need to verify that -Zsimplex gets translated correctly to CUPS. We should verify that any duplex or simplex settings in the actual PostScript override CUPS' queue options.

SAVE locker is ready for desupport, as is lpr2, both will be desupported on Wed after I've had a chance to brief the OLCs.

> 4) Other business

Intrepid is going to die when Lucid comes out. jdreed will coordinate with ops to get hostnames of Intrepid machines and ask them to update.

We need to make sure the new gdm works with ~/.xsession files.

Console - we should integrate it with the dotfiles.

> 5) new 'welcome' file, nautlius launchers, and any other changes we want the class of 2014 to have

No objections, jdreed will send info to zacheiss on Monday.

-Jon
