> I. Login Speed Issue update

Quickstations no longer suck. Geofft is working on aufs. We think it
will work.

All quickstations are 620s or better.

> II. Karmic Update

-standard and -login works. We need a gdm config that configures
Xauthority to put its files in /tmp, removes the face browser, and
expose the username field. The latter two are aesthetic, the former
is important.

ACTION ITEM: To facilitate testing, someone will make the Xauthority
change and leave the gdm greeter as it is so we can begin testing
Karmic.

Current gdm-config and pam-config in proposed move to production so we
can start breaking a new gdm-config.

We should make good use of the "early" cluster for Karmic, either move
it to proposed or move cluster machines into beta.

> III. Other business

LDAP update: Evan tested lib_nss_ldap and was able to get it to look
up user info and group info, but group_membership info is still not
quite working. Evan will follow up with Mark.

Liblocker update: We have a working liblocker, it should be rewritten
time permitting.

The Dell Optiplex 780 will replace the 760 soon, but the 760 is
orderable through the spring.

ACTION ITEM: jdreed will provide ops with a metrics analysis script.

Build infrastructure: We have Athena 10 stuff. We should turn it off
and switch debuild to ops infrastructure. The timeline for this is
after Karmic.

The mirror issue: We will switch to mirrors.mit.edu with the Karmic
deployment and let cluster machines fix themselves through attrition.

ACTION ITEM: Evan will contact the mirrors.mit.edu maintainers soon.
