Subject: Athena 10 APT repository being decommissioned on 6/22/09

Greetings,

You are receiving this e-mail because you are listed in Moira as the
contact person for the following IP addresses:

18.172.0.143 (SDM9.MIT.EDU)

On June 11, 2009, these IP addresses were observed requesting data
from the athena10.mit.edu APT repository, presumably because you
installed the Athena 10 Preview Release. Since then, the project has
been merged with the SIPB Debathena project and all Athena 10 machines
should be using the APT repostiory on debathena.mit.edu. The
athena10.mit.edu repository is no longer being updated and will be
decommissioned on or after June 22, 2009.

To ensure that you continue to receive updates, please do one of the
following:

1) If you installed Athena 10 primarily as a test system, and do not
need to preserve any data, please consider replacing your current
installation with a fresh installation of Debathena. In addition to
containing new updates and improvements, Debathena also now supports
the newest release of Ubuntu: Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty). For more
information, see http://debathena.mit.edu/install

2) If you wish to retain your existing installation, please run the
following commands AS ROOT:

athrun release update-athena10-to-debathena
aptitude update

If both of those commands run successfully, your machine will now use
the debathena.mit.edu repository. You may want to update your machine,
as there will likely be a large number of updates waiting in the new
repository.

If you have any questions, please contact us at
<release-team@mit.edu>. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Sincerely,

Jonathan Reed
for the Athena Release Team
