Agenda:

1. Review Athena 10 status and gap to go-live.
2. Discuss Post-term Patch release, specifically Screen power saving.
3. Discuss lert: Is it still needed or can we de-comission it.
4. Update on Solaris Sunset effort.
5. Decide if we're meeting at 3:30 in January-March.
6. Other

Actions:

1. Review Athena 10 status and gap to go-live.

Two items in technical plan remain to be done: bugme and
comprehensive installer.
amb is focused on the installer.
Seven issues are open in Jira: Session names, greeter cosmetics,
dotfile skip_ directives,
attach/detach semantics, UI for OS update, sudo in Clusters, local
account cleanup.
wdc will follow up to Athena 10 list for bugme and the session
aspects.
Need to decide about cut-over to Intrepid.
We think we can do Intrepid for the IAP roll-out. (This will let us
investigate doing OS updates before wide deployment of Athena 10.)

Target Athena 10 dates:
Comprehensive installer ready for use by ridgway and wdc by Tue Jan 6.
Go-live in Early Cluster two weeks (plus holiday) later Wed Jan 21.
There WILL be ample opportunity for improvements based on input from
TAP after that.

2. Discuss Post-term Patch release, specifically Screen power saving.

Patch has been written and reviewed.
We discussed what would be a good interface in the prototype:
A page that shows only downed systems seems appropriate.
Next step is prototyping the monitoring.

3. Discuss lert: Is it still needed or can we de-comission it.

User accounts likes sending out the notices.
Generating the Athena Login reports is also useful.
So we're planning to keep it around.
We are double checking the Athena 10 session to confirm it's running
lert.

4. Update on Solaris Sunset effort.

A draft of an announcement was circulated.
Consensus is that owls owns the effort, (whatever that means.)
wdc, jmhunt, and othomas have been collaborating to identify next
steps.
alexp confirms we have only 3 general use Apps, and they're NOT
critical by any means.
Release Team agrees with others that getting the word out SOONER
rather than later is key!

5. Decide if we're meeting at 3:30 in January-March.

Yes, we're moving meeting times to 3:30.

6. Other

	IAP Patch Release Target dates:
		December 30 to dev cell.
		January 13 go-live to clusters.

Ops says that enabling "Register for an Athena Account" can be done,
but will require work, but
Firefox in Kiosk mode is preferable.

Next meeting is 7 January at 3:30 in W92-199

Agenda:

1. Monthly Status Report
2. Review Athena 10 status and gap to go-live.
3. Check in on IAP Patch Release
4. Update on Solaris Sunset effort.
5. Other
