I'm not in the office now, but I'm sure I ran SAS under 8.0. Does
anyone have any idea?

Subject: sas and release 8.0
Hmm... I too cannot use sas (6.09) when logged into my machine (mies)
remotely. I get:
% sas
ld.so.1: /mit/sas_v6.09/distrib/sun4m_54/sas/sas: fatal: relocation error: symb
ol not found: __nss2herrno: referenced in /usr/lib/nss_files.so.1
Sas 6.09 always works fine from mies' console - even when telneting
into another account on mies.
Sas 6.11 - gives identical errors whether we're on the console or not:
% sas -ver 6.11
ERROR: Invalid option value (!SASROOT/maps) for option MAPS.
Summer sas users await any help. Thanks,
Phil
