Maybe this is a heisenbug.  Maybe this is fixed in a later version of
Ubuntu, but it's happened to me twice.

Sometimes on my ubuntu laptop, Evolution will not obey the quit command.
It just sits there gray'ed out.

Today when it happened, I noticed the status message, "pinging
po12.mit.edu" that wouldn't go away.  I wonder if evolution and IMAP
miss each other, and evolution thinks it's pinging the PO server, but
it's waiting forever on something that will never come.

I wanted to alert people to it as we move forward with an ubuntu-based
Athena.
