Per a suggestion from Andrew, I have fixed Linux installs at 9.4.43 for
the moment. This will cause newly-installed machines to take the update
from 9.4.43 to 9.4.46, which will, through a mechanism we do not yet
understand, cause SMP machines to boot the SMP kernel by default.
Once we figure out what this mechanism is, we can duplicate it in the
installer and go back to the usual state of installing the most current
9.4 release directly.
(Mechanism: break the control-current -> control-9.4 symlink, and make
control-current a file containing just a 9.4.43 line.)
