Thanks for the detail- I'll document this in my java_v1.6.x locker
README.athena files.

I was actually more concerned about a problem when just running things
like javac, java etc. directly, or when running a Java app (like
Eclipse) that uses the java runtime to run. I'll test those out but am
inclined to think that the problem won't show up there (I've actually
had java_v1.6.0 set as default Java for some time, and multiple apps
including Eclipse use it, and no one has reported problems...).
