Perhaps others will reply with additional help.

At this point the news is bad.  Last year would have been a great  
time to renew with Dell hardware.  The Dell Optiplex GX 620 worked  
like a charm with very little software fiddling.

Unfortunately the GX 620 is no longer available.  Its successor, and  
indeed the whole Dell product line has new video, new ethernet, and  
new SATA disk interfaces that ALL require software updates.  The work  
to get those updates into Athena has begun but is not scheduled to  
complete until some time in July.
