I believe that the UIDs are propagated to WIN. However, I am not aware
of any applications which are currently using the information with AD as
the source. If any WIN users are using the most recent NFS server
available from the free Microsoft SFU product then the data is being used.
The AD schema is recent enough that the proposed change should not be a
problem, i.e. large UIDs will not be a problem. Given the lack of known
dependencies within WIN I can't think of any reason to test the impact
of the proposal within the environment.
