1. Testers list
1.1 security issues raised on files/directories chowned
by builder. Builder password changed, reducing
exposure.
1.2 XUSERFILESEARCHPATH and XFILESEARCHPATH move to
global cshrc? Need to make and document decision.
1.3 /bin/csh link provided on suns for backward
compatibility; WILL NOT BE CONTINUED ON NEW PLATFORMS
1.4 documentation list growing
1. Patches (miki requested we delay this until next week)
2. xdm - being worked on
3. AFS - if new patch version available, hold off unless
compelling reasons. We feel some confidence in what we
are running now.
4. AFS applications - available, being tested.
5. rlogin home direct - SIGURG problem?
6. warn people about early testing - dot will deal.
7. autoupdate FALSE loses - Craig/Greg will think
Solaris 2.4 Early expected 6/18/96
IRIX 5.3 now in alpha
1. Lockers need links!
2. Target August 1 for Release. May be ready before that,
but the firm date for release is now August 1.
