I debugged the "Print causes Firefox to hang" problem, tracing it
to some double-free's of fontconfig and freetype memory. I added
a comment and provided a patch to the original bug report, at:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=336435
Unfortunately, it looks like this is too late to make the next
Firefox update (1.5.0.7), which Mozilla is apparently readying to
release shortly, and there is no feasible workaround for us, short
of building Firefox ourselves. So we may need to live with the
problem for a while, even if they deal with my patch in a timely
way.
