When I talked to Alex about what helper applications we needed to
configure for Firefox, he mentioned that we need, and used to have,
FreeWRL. Actually, I don't believe we ever configured this as a
helper application, but we do have symlinks to its plugin in the
infoagents plugins directories. But it appears that the plugin name
changed at some point (from "npFreeWRL" to "npfreewrl"), so those
links are now broken. I tried loading the new plugin, and found that
it crashes on my IBM ThinkCentre (because it doesn't have the GLX
extension?), and hangs on my SunBlade 1500. So, I have removed the
broken symlinks from the infoagents plugin directories (visible after
tonight's volume release), and plan to add the necessary configuration
to the release so that freewrl is available as a standalone application
instead. (The standalone application works on Solaris; it still
crashes on my IBM Linux machine, but at least that won't kill the
browser).
