Hi Mark,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Your original request came
in while I was on vacation and I thought somebody else had gotten back
to you.

Your current Ultra 5s are not supported under Athena 9.4; they can be
reinstalled running 9.3 and should just fine in that configuration.

However, this hardware is quite old at this point, and you should
strongly consider replacing it. IS&T Academic Computing will be doing
Athena hardware renewal grants for the last time this year. You should
be receiving a letter from our department regarding this soon, if you
have not already. However, you needn't wait for the letter; if you send
mail to ac-proposals@mit.edu with a list of your existing workstations,
and a brief description of what you use them for, it should be possible
to get new workstations granted to your department. If you have any
questions about this process, let me know and I'll try to answer them
for you or refer you to someone who can.

In the meantime, I'd be happy to reinstall your workstations at Athena
9.3 so you can use them again. Can you let me know the hostnames of the
machines, and what time(s) would be good for me to come by?

Garry
