This is a reminder that the Athena 9.4.19 patch release is currently
scheduled for the evening of Monday November 21. Changes include:
On both platforms:
* metacity's stacking of zephyr windowgrams is much improved
* zenity no longer uses different background colors for menu options
* Panel menus are now properly updated after a full release is taken
* There is an attach-and-run script for openoffice (ooffice)
* OpenAFS is upgraded to an official stable release (1.4.0)
On Linux:
* Big updates no longer start with a long delay with no feedback
* Beeps are back
* Many RPMs are updated from RHEL 4
On Solaris:
* gpdf now works
* file-roller now works on zip files
* syslogd should always start after named
* A panic on "svcs -p" is fixed
* Sun patches 119059-06, 119578-09, 118822-19, 119075-09, and
117461-06 are applied to fix security holes
If you have a machine set AUTOUPDATE=false, you can update it manually
after the release goes out by doing a console login as root and
running "update_ws".
