I just chatted with Mark Silis about PXE and have definitive answers to
the questions regarding scaling up the PXE Athena to be the standard way
to install Athena.

Short answer: Go for it.

PXE with Athena is active in all MIT subnets.
(And that it's NOT available outside MIT)

It's no problem to update the installer when we do updates. Just let
Mark know where the 2 files are that need to go onto the PXE server.

Mark confirms that he's just fine with everybody using it.

With regards to adding a Stand Alone Linux slot, left it open as a
possibility but was not going to commit to adding it. He didn't know if
it would or would not fit into the system (or into his workload.)

So let's proceed to write up the "Easy Athena" install documentation,
and operate on the working assumption that longer term, either by
changing the nature of Athena, or by an additional PXE slot, Stand Alone
Linux and Athena Linux will be installable options on campus.

P.S. Mark reminded me that when we do hardware recommendations, we do a
test of the PXE stuff. He said he's seen some hardware, even recently
with either weird BIOS or network hardware that didn't work.
