Well, I could preserve the abstraction that "current" always points to
the right place and keep the configuration the same by using another
trick I've used in the past:

make current -> .@sys/current, then create directories .sun4x_510 and
.i386_rhel4, containing links current -> acro_v5.0.10 and current -> acro_v7.0
respectively. To accomodate Athena 9.3 machines also I could make
.sun4x_59 -> .sun4x_510 and .i386_rhel3 -> .i386_rhel4. Would that be OK?
