My understanding from talking to Mark yesterday and to Jonathon is
that the change that would be made would be to set the MX for
athena.mit.edu to be:
100 OUTGOING.MIT.EDU
Which would then go through the load balancer, and connections using
auth would be pointed at outgoing-auth.mit.edu. Presumably 9.1
machines would still be sending unauth mail, and the load balancer
would point them at outgoing-legacy.mit.edu and it would all work.
