This is a reminder that the Athena 9.3.12 patch release (9.3.14 for
Solaris) is currently scheduled for the evening of Tuesday September
7. Changes include:
On both platforms:
* The recent krb5 vulnerabilities are fixed.
* The krb5 ftpd is fixed to work with some clients.
* Additional Asian anti-aliased fonts are installed.
* The default GNOME viewer for Word files is ooffice (was soffice).
* authwatch is more proactive about disappearing upon renewal.
On Linux:
* The krb5-libs and qt RPMs are updated from Red Hat.
On Solaris:
* Some libpng security issues are fixed.
* Some Xft (font rendering library) bugs are fixed.
If you have a machine set AUTOUPDATE=false, you can update it manually
after the release goes out by doing a console login as root and
running "update_ws".
