It would have been REALLY nice, inasmuch as we're about to buy a BUNCH
of these monitors, if we'd had advanced warning.  Linux is often
finicky about extremely subtle changes in LCD monitors.

There's PROBABLY no problem, but testing with the new one would have
been a useful proactive thing.

Is this JUST a part number change to reflect a longer warantee, or is
there something that actually changed in the monitor itself?  How
quickly can a loaner be dropped off to us to reconfirm that Linux is
happy with them?
