Zephyr:
- changing the hashing scheme may be an incompatible change, so we may
not do it just yet. There is a summer project to rewrite parts of
zephyr.
This is a server-side issue only, and not a release issue. The server
requires other work, and I am not worried if that is not ready in time
for the release (in fact, all server sources are not necessarily from
the release source tree; they are kept in opssrc).
The problems that might require changes in the clients have been
deferred, including the security issues. At some point, I will revisit
the security issues, when I have approval to spend more than a little
time on Zephyr. (For now, I will simply say that I don't believe
authentic messages are authentic, nor do I believe that messages
necessarily come from the host that they say that they come from.)
