1. Latex
We need a way to handle requests for site-specific Latex materials
without removing our ability to use the native tetex package on Linux.
We will do this with a separate package containing site-specific
materials, and a mod to the dotfiles to extend TEXINPUTS to include
the new area.
2. Verification
Checking for user input without blocking was harder than anticipated,
so 9.3.8 sped up verification but did not make it manually
interruptable. We could write C code to make it manually
interruptable, but rather than doing that, we will plan to implement
mitchb's proposal to do verification in the background and then
replacement of packages at the next reactivate.
3. Public release
We will do Solaris on the 12th and Linux on the 13th.
4. Mozilla
We upgraded to mozilla 1.7 in 9.3.8. We will attempt to coordinate
with browser-release. The Athena user release notes should also be
updated.
