I have no idea what I was thinking when I wrote that.  Clearly, no, it
wouldn't, since nothing in RHEL would care about /bin/athena.  I suspect
my brain was confused and munged the athena update process and up2date
together, or something.

Fair enough - I didn't know what the customizations were.
