1. 9.3 release status
We will go to early next Monday and to public after that. We know of
no show-stopper bugs at the moment.
2. Disconnected operation status
We have three bugs we need to fix before progressing:
* OpenAFS 1.2.11 repeats timeout process on each file accessed
without network (zacheiss)
* syncconf needs to mark network interfaces ONBOOT=no if
DISCONNECTABLE=true (amb)
* Cosmetic issues when logging in without network (ghudson)
3. Status
Under separate cover. Some issues raised:
* Andrew might like to add an athinfo query to display the public
workstation verification log. Also, he might like to add a public
workstation verification log.
* Bob has an idea to make sure the Mozilla lockfile gets deleted
when a user logs out without quitting Mozilla.
* Our documentation still mostly assumes that Hotline still installs
Athena machines. In the world of Zero-Cost Athena and dual-boot
installs, that's not true any more. Possible places we might want
to have documentation about installing Athena:
- The PWOG
- The IS&T web pages
- Stock answers
