Hi, sorry to spam you guys again, but there's another little thing
that's kinda bugged me since the update.

In 9.0/9.1, there were a number of icons in /usr/athena/share/pixmaps.
Being the restless soul that I am, I customized my panels, using some of
the additional icons in there. After the 9.2 update, linux systems
moved many of these icons into /usr/share/pixmaps. If you log into a
linux machine running 9.2 and you'll get a lot of "file not found"
errors regarding the icons. Interestingly enough, these icons were not
moved at all on Solaris machines running 9.2. You won't notice this on
a non-customized install, since the default icons still reside in
/usr/athena/share/pixmaps on both.

So, it's easy enough to fix from an end-user standpoint:

Workaround 1:
-- Don't use Linux machines, always use Solaris. :-)

Workaround 2:
-- Change all the shortcuts whose icons disappeared in Linux to use the
icons /usr/share/pixmaps
-- Don't use Solaris machines, always use Linux :-)

However, that's a mild pain in the rear for people like me. :-) I could
also copy the missing icons to my home directory, but that's less than
efficient when the icons actually exist on all the machines. I can see
why it makes sense to separate some icons into /usr/athena/share/pixmaps
(since they are Athena defaults and whatnot) and the regular linux icons
into /usr/share/pixmaps, so, if it were me, my fix would probably be to
symlink /usr/share/pixmaps on Solaris (which currently doesn't exist) to
/usr/athena/share/pixmaps. That should take care of any missing icon
issues, at least as a result of this change, with no real side-effects.

Then again, this may be too fringe to even merit action--I've noticed it
and I know of a couple of other people who've run into it--but I just
wanted to give you guys a heads up, in case you're interested.

Thanks,
Ricky

P.S. If this list is not the appropriate place for these type of
e-mails, please let me know.
