Mike Whitson sent us email saying that he cooked up several format.input
partition descriptions:
format.input.SUN1.05.orig
- The original one. 48 MB cache, 60 MB swap
format.input.SUN1.05-1
- 48 MB cache, 100 MB swap
format.input.SUN1.05-2
- 100 MB cache, 150 MB swap
format.input.SUN1.05-3
- 150 MB cache, 150 MB swap
format.input.SUN1.05
- the one that solar will actually use when installing -
currently a copy of format.input.SUN1.05-2.
We should officially choose one as the standard 1.05GB disk partition
for Athena installs. I recommend we adopt the one Mike used as his test
default.
I suggest that Mike Barker, as leader of the Athena Release Team, be the
guy who passes final judgement over which one to use, after hearing the
opinions of those I have emailed this note to.
