Hi Christine,
I've done a build of sendmail for you for Athena 8.4, which you
can use to upgrade your departmental servers. To upgrade, as root, do
the following things:
mv /usr/lib/sendmail /usr/lib/sendmail.old
cp -p /afs/athena.mit.edu/service/scratch/zacheiss/sendmail/sun4x_57/bin/sendmail /usr/lib/sendmail
chown root /usr/lib/sendmail
chmod 4555 /usr/lib/sendmail
and then kill and restart the existing sendmail process:
kill `head -1 /etc/mail/sendmail.pid`
/usr/lib/sendmail -bd -q1h
